Consider Gov. Mike Huckabee, an effective Arkansas governor who is running for President on the GOP ticket. Although not a forerunner right now, the absence of quality conservatives among the early leaders, with McCain, Romney, and Giuliani getting most of the early attention and money, could change once people start to learn who they really are.
